Ahh The Sweet Table, this is where everyone gets to be a kid again. Walking into a wedding and seeing
a sweet table is always the cherry on top. Whether you use the sweet table as dessert, favours or just
another detail of your wedding, it will not disappoint your guests.

Have a multicoloured table if you want to make a colourful statement full of delicious flavours. The
beauty of a multicoloured table is that you will not be running around trying to find candy in that exact
shade of lilac that your bridesmaids are wearing.

I think monochromatic tables look so soft and serene. It is almost as if you will not notice all of the
different selections until you get up close and have a real good look (or taste). These tables are a quieter
approach but still have big visual impact.

Sweets Tables are where details really do matter. Ribbon and labels pull together the entire look and
take it to the next level. I love to see clear glass containers filled with different kinds of sweets. Beautiful
white dishes create a soft background for the colourful candies to pop. I think that they key to a sweets
tables is variety. Play with different heights! Get creative for the backdrop of the table, use your
favourite piece of art or make a playful banner.

Looking for an alternative to the traditional tiered wedding cake?  Try a tower of chocolate covered strawberries instead!  It’s a simple and delicious way to finish off your perfect evening.

Do you and your significant other love to sit in on a Friday night and sip on a favorite wine, or head out on the town ordering the same drink anywhere you go?  If so, why not share you favs with your wedding guests!

Signature drinks are a great way to add personality to your wedding. They give your guests a little insight into your lives that they might not otherwise know.  Even if you don’t have a go-to drink,  adding something fun and interactive for your guests will take your wedding to new heights.

This Sangria Station would be a hit for cocktail hour on a hot July afternoon, and allows guests to add the fruit of their choice to their drinks. How fun!

Another fun way of adding a special touch to your cocktail hour is this cute little find. Add your names and/or wedding date to flags attached to straws or stir sticks. Or better yet, add your guest’s names to the other side of the flag and have them set out following the ceremony for them to grab.

A sign at the bar with your names and drinks of choice for the evening will go a long way to create some buzz. Many of your guests will be happy to try something a little fun and different. Include the recipe on your sign so that guests are able to re-create your signature drink at home!

This I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! How great is this DIY Beer Garden. Oh, the possibilities!

You could even have custom beer labels made. Or any labels for that matter.  Wine, water, soda pop… you name it, it can be custom labeled.

Prefer wine to beer but don’t necessarily want to redo all the labels on your favorite vintage?  How about these little gems? Personalized wine charms that can also double as favors for your guests.  Add your wedding date to them, and they become keepsakes. You will help avoid the question “is that my glass or yours?”

Signature Drinks  is a great site if you like the idea of having a Signature Drink on your big day but aren’t sure where to begin.  It is full of great drink ideas, recipes and pictures that will surely get your thirst for this trend going.

I want to leave you with one of my favorite winter drinks, Mulled Wine. I spent years living abroad in Austria and this little cup of warmth brings back great memories and would warm any winter wedding guest from nose to toes.

Martha Stewart has a great recipe for this – it’s fabulous! Check it out!

Cheers,
